Arlington-based CACI International Inc. has won a potential $54 million contract to modernize mission systems for the State Department’s Bureau of Diplomatic Security, the company announced Monday.

The development, modernization, and enhancement contract contains one base year and four option years. The bureau’s mission systems include software applications for case management, real-time situation reporting and global security monitoring.

The contract calls for CACI to increase collaboration and provide more effective information resource management, faster data reporting, and a more holistic picture of data.
