James Bridger Speaks on Counter-Piracy

On June 21 the ACC’s Maritime and African Security Analyst James Bridger spoke on a panel at the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) in Washington, DC. The discussion focused on the burgeoning role that local and private actors have been playing in the fight against Somali piracy and the challenges that confront them. The panel also featured piracy expert Dr. Martin Murphy, Senior Fellow at the Atlantic Council US, and Doug Brooks, President of the International Stability Operations Association. Rick “Ozzie” Nelson, Director of the CSIS Homeland Security and Counterterrorism Program, moderated the discussion.
